SUMMARY:Brisbane German Families: Meet Up
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to introduce Brisbane German Families\, a new family-focused\nundergroup of the Brisbane German Club dedicated to bringing together German\nfamilies and those with German heritage from across Brisbane.\nAs parents raising bilingual children ourselves\, we understand how valuable it is for\nchildren to hear\, use and enjoy the German language to stay connected with\nGerman culture\, traditions and family. Therefore Brisbane German Families was\ncreated to provide opportunities for families to connect through language\, culture\nand friendship.\nEach month\, we host a family meet-up featuring German songs\, crafts\, and stories.\nWe also look forward to celebrating German seasonal traditions and cultural events\nthroughout the year\, helping children build meaningful connections to their\nlanguage and heritage while having fun with other families.\nOne exciting initiative currently underway is the development of a small German\nChildren’s Library\, which will provide members of the undergroup with access to\nGerman children books to support language learning and encourage reading at\nhome.\nWhether your family has German roots\, speaks German at home\, is new to Brisbane\,\nor is simply looking to connect with other German families\, we warmly welcome you\nto join us.\nAs we continue to grow\, we would greatly appreciate the support of Brisbane\nGerman Club members in helping spread the word. If you know a family who may be\ninterested\, please share our details and encourage them to come along to a meet\nup.\nMembership is $50 per year per family unit\, with at least one adult family member\nrequired to be a full Brisbane German Club member (or on the pathway to full\nmembership through a 12-month social membership). This helps cover costs for\nevents\, craft materials\, activity resources\, as well as access to the small German\nchildren’s library. Families are welcome to attend an event before deciding whether\nto join.\nInterested in joining Brisbane German Families? We’d love to hear from you! Email\nus at brisbanegermanfamilies@gmail.com\, join our WhatsApp Community to stay up\nto date with events and announcements\, and complete our online membership form\nto become a member.
