Brisbane German Families is a welcoming, family-focused undergroup that brings together German families across Brisbane. Our aim is to help children hear, use and enjoy the German language while celebrating German culture, traditions and heritage in a fun and supportive environment.

We host monthly family meet-ups featuring singing, games, crafts and play, along with seasonal celebrations throughout the year. We are also building a small German children’s library to encourage language learning at home.

Whether you’ve got German family history, are new to Brisbane, or simply looking to connect with other German families, Brisbane German Families offers a friendly community.

Membership is $50 per year per family unit and at least one adult from the family unit must be a full Brisbane German Club member (or on the path to transition to full membership via a 12 months social membership). This helps cover costs for events, craft materials, activity resources, as well as access to a small German children’s book library. Newcomers are welcome to attend an event before joining.
