The members build the foundation of the Brisbane German Club and the Club always welcomes new members. Membership is open to everyone over 18 years of age.

The current law until June 2024 doesn’t make membership an entry requirement, however we encourage you to become a member and get involved.

Full membership $50

Full members get voting rights, can join Undergroups of the Club, get a discount on all drinks and earn loyalty points for bar purchases. Full members will also be emailed the Club’s newsletter and have access to special member events. Being a full member also gives you the opportunity to volunteer for the board of directors. To become a full member, you need to be proposed and seconded by a current full member of the Club before your application is approved by the board.

This process can take up to 4 weeks as the board meets monthly. Full membership fees are $50 per year and $25 for pensioners, payable at the start of each financial year (July)

Social membership $5

Social members of the Brisbane German Club earn loyalty points for bar purchases, get access to selected member events, and receive emails about what’s on at the Club. Social membership is a great way to start getting involved in the Club, meet other members, and apply to become a full member of the Brisbane German Club yourself. Social membership is only $5 and valid until December 2025.

Life member

To be awarded a life member of the Brisbane German Club you need to be a full financial member for 25 years consecutively.
